Happy New Year! I hope that y'all had a very happy and safe holiday season,
filled with good cheer, good friends, good family, and good health.
January is always a great month for renewing your spirit and strengthening your
personal resolve. Find a quiet spot, light some candles, and think about all
you want to accomplish in the new year. Pick two or three goals and write them
down. Put them on your bedside table or tape them to your bathroom mirror pick
a place where youre likely to look at them on a regular basis. Then, track your
progress periodically throughout the year. By this time next year, I'm willing
to bet that you'll be well on your way to accomplishing those goals!
Happy 2004! May it be a year full of peace, happiness, good health, and love!

**TIP OF THE MONTH After the long holiday season, January is the perfect
time to de-stress! Try to find 5 minutes each day to practice the following
yoga-inspired exercises.
1. Deep Breathing: Find a comfortable place to sit quietly with your
legs crossed and your spine erect. Inhale slowly through your nose for 4
counts, then exhale through your nose for 6 counts. Repeat 8-10 times.
2. Quick Accupressure: This process can be done while sitting or lying
down comfortably. Begin by crossing your middle finger over your index finger
on both hands. Place your index fingers on your temples at eye level and apply
gentle pressure for 60 seconds. Next, place your index fingers on either side
of the bridge of your nose next to your tear ducts and apply gentle pressure for
60 seconds. Thirdly, place your index fingers directly underneath your jaw
below your earlobes and apply gentle pressure for 60 seconds. Finally, place
your index fingers at the outside corners of your eyes and apply gentle pressure
for 60 seconds.
